A Child Enrichment Ministry of All Saints Lutheran Church

The Little Saints Mission

As a child enrichment ministry of All Saints Lutheran Church we are dedicated to serving our community, supporting parents, and above all, providing Christian nurture and care for children. This is accomplished through programs emphasizing the development of a positive self-concept, basic physical, intellectual and social skills, responsible attitudes and an awareness
of God's love through Christ.

With this mission in mind, we strive to work cooperatively with parents to meet the needs of their children and their family through the following goals:

SPIRITUALLY
• To help each child recognize that they are a special creation of God.
• To help each child develop an understanding of God’s love for us.
• To provide opportunities for spiritual growth through formal and informal worship and learning experiences.
• To encourage each child and his/her family to respond to God’s love by participating in church and Sunday School.

EMOTIONALLY
• To help each child develop a confident, positive self-image.
• To help each child develop a positive sense of responsibility.
• To teach each child to respect authority.

SOCIALLY
• To help each child develop skills in inter-personal relationships.
• To provide a positive atmosphere for building self-esteem.
• To help each child develop caring relationships that include the recognition and respect of the rights and differences of others.

PHYSICALLY
• To help each child work toward habits that contribute to the healthy development of his/her body, and to see that body as God’s creation.

INTELLECTUALLY
• To help each child develop an inquisitive mind.
• To help each child experience God’s wonderful creation with a hands-on curriculum.

Teaching Philosophy

Children are a special gift from God. Little Saints Christian Preschool invites parents to let their children learn about God and His creation in an open, Christ-centered environment. Children learn best when they are allowed to experience the world around them through guided experimentation. With developmentally appropriate manipulatives, dramatic play, free choice time, and daily playground activities, a child will grow through trial and error. Our curriculum facilitates learning through hands-on experience.

Parents are encouraged to be partners with us in their children’s education by participating in worship opportunities, classroom activities, and by communicating openly with our staff.
